August 2025 Issue
We have seen some seriously hot temperatures of late and if you are out there doing it, go steady and stay out of it, especially if you are a younger angler reading this, you don’t know how important it is! Ian Russell took over the reins on Tour De Day Ticket and headed down to Tar Farm 4, fishing a staggering 215 yards to a shallow area and caught a few too before nature cut him short.
Inside Rig Anatomy we break down Neil Spooner’s spinner rig and why he uses potentially the most popular rig of all time, Matt Eaton is back with even more wisdom, Simon Crow has a tale or two about a rather large common and the boys over at Wychwood have covered a distance fishing piece up north in their new ‘Tactical Edges’ series, while Dave Preston bares all in his rags to riches interview.
In Gear we have loads of interesting stuff to take a look at, I give my two pence on cloudy liquids after a recent revelation and touch on the SBX braid from thinking anglers, Korda after a long time away is back in the gear pages and we take a look at its all new straight point hook pattern. We break down hydrolysed liquids from Dynamite and Solar’s all-new SPC Tech Luggage gets announced.
Aside from that we have a lot more, including all the parts you guys can get involved with, like Q&A, Have Your Say and of course Carp Scene, but for now I’ll release you into the August Issue and let you get stuck in.
Be lucky…

Every Second Counts
